Senior Research Fellow and Consultant Paediatrician
Adebola E. ORIMADEGUN joined the services of the University of Ibadan in 2008 as a Medical Research Fellow I. He holds an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician position in the Institute of Child Health and Children Emergency Unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan. He considers child health an exciting field with an immeasurable potential for making positive change. He has broadened his influence beyond the confines of the hospitals/clinics by advancing my career through further studies in Epidemiology and Clinical Trials at University of Ibadan, Nigeria and University of London (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), respectively.
Adebola’s research interest spans the field of Child Health and Epidemiology with specific focus on Malaria in Children, Child Mortality, Immunisation and Vaccine Preventable Diseases, Neonatal Health and Clinical Presentation and Treatment Outcomes. He teaches Medical Undergraduates and Postgraduates Students at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and still seeking opportunities to carry out research relating to child health and paediatric epidemiology as well as clinical trials. His active participation in research as resulted in several scientific publications (see CV).
