Infant Welfare Clinic: The institute through its infant welfare clinic provides promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative medical services for children, which includes immunization service for children, adolescents and adults, as well as immunization/counselling for travelers from Nigeria to other countries, nutritional classes for mother.

Adolescent Health Clinic: the adolescent health clinic provides adolescent friendly health services to meet the peculiar needs of this unique and important population of adolescents.

Laboratories: the ICH has a general laboratory, which provid3s comprehensive services. The laboratory is divided into three programmatic activities, for Training of Industrial training (IT) for undergraduate students from tertiary institutions (Universities &Polytechnics), Training for resident doctors (short-term, about 2 weeks), Masters students and PHD students. Services provided by the Laboratory are ABO blood grouping, Hb genotyping, Determination of packed cell volume, Malaria parasite screening using rapid diagnostic strips and microscopy, Hepatitis B screening using RDT (rapid diagnostic tests). We plan to increase our services to include: full blood count, screening for G6PD using strips (RDT), Hepatitis screening using ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), Serum bilirubin, Screening for hypothyroidism in children from birth.

ICH also has a more specialized laboratory for research, which focuses on using flow cytometry and Molecular genotyping (PCR). We propose to include ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay), Antibody titre for vaccinated children in the institute, and periodic testing of the vaccines given in the clinic for its potency.
